LEADERSHIP

Dean Ennes, Director

Dean Ennes is Principal of Ennes International, an independent financial-advisory consultancy focused on international trade and investment. The company was established in 1992.

Dean started his career marketing geological and geophysical services in Latin America. He has gone on to concentrate on the development and financing of infrastructure and industrial projects in developing countries. His key areas of expertise include export credit, international project finance, multi-source financing, and multilateral financial institutions. He has developed financing proposals for projects in and exports to countries including China, South Korea, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Algeria, Senegal, and Ghana.

Dean holds an M.A., with a concentration in Development, from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario. His B.A., in Latin American Studies, is from Carthage College, Kenosha, Wisconsin. Dean is a former Adjunct Professor at Benedictine University, Lisle, Illinois, where he taught International Business, International Economics, and International Finance to graduate students and senior undergraduates. He is fluent in Spanish and has conducted business in 29 countries to date.

In 2008 the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) selected Ennes International to serve as a Loan Originator for its Enterprise Development Network (EDN), an alliance with the private sector designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises expanding into emerging markets.
