Jennet Qian, Secretary

Jennet Qian is a co-founder and the managing partner of Global Business Partners (GBP), an international consulting firm that provides business information, contacts and logistic support in the areas of marketing and management for U.S. and Chinese companies.

Ms.Qian specializes in working with American and Chinese companies to build successful business partnerships.

Her expertise ranges from market entry strategy, senior executive industrial roundtables and trade mission planning and execution, to cross-cultural orientation.

For the past 15 years, Ms. Qian has undertaken projects in the following categories: advertising, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, public relations, finance, real estate, entertainment and media. Her clients range from senior executives of Fortune 500 companies to entrepreneurs.

Ms. Qian is a member of the: Board of Directors of the International Trade Association of Greater Chicago; U.S. National Female Executives Association; American Women for International Understanding; and the China Committee of the Chicago Sister Cities Program. In May 2000, Ms. Qian was appointed as the International Representative of the Shanghai Technology Stock Exchange.

A native of Shanghai, China, Ms. Qian began her advanced education and business career in the United States in 1988. Since 1989 she has made Chicago her second home.

Ms. Qian holds a BA in International Business from Shanghai University and an MBA in International Business from DePaul University in Chicago. She speaks fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin and Shanghai dialects).
