Wanda Sample, Secretary
Wanda Sample has over 25 years experience in the transportation industry. From 1982 to 1999, Ms. Sample worked for F. W. Myers & Co., Inc. (customs broker and freight forwarder). As risk coordinator for F. W. Myers, Ms. Sample handled surety bonds, cargo insurance, property and casualty, workers’ compensation, and other insurance products. Additionally, she performed audit functions at many regional offices.
Today, Ms. Sample is Director of Trade Relations for Avalon Risk Management, Inc., a premier provider of insurance products for the transportation industry. Ms. Sample is assistant editor of “The Quest”, Avalon’s industry newsletter, and maintains involvement in several transportation-related associations, including the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones, Transportation Intermediaries Association and is a member of the board for the Air & Expedited Motor Carriers Association. In addition, Ms. Sample is Secretary of the International Trade Association of Greater Chicago.
Ms. Sample received her MBA from Clarkson University.
