LEADERSHIP

Kurt A. Wagner, Liaison Director

Kurt A. Wagner, European Liaison Director of the ITA/GC, is an international business attorney and founding partner of the Law & Consulting Offices of Wagner & Schell, LLP, with offices in Illinois and Austria. He teaches classes on international business law, corporate governance and copyright law at the University of Klagenfurt and the Carinthian Tech Institute University of Applied Science in Austria and is the author of numerous articles on international tax and legal topics. In Europe Mr. Wagner serves as an advisor to the Austrian government and heads the European office of DMC Worldwide, LLC, a Washington, DC based strategic consulting firm. Prior to starting his law practice in 1994, Mr. Wagner served with the U.S. Department of State as a U.S. diplomat and consular officer at U.S. Embassies in Europe (Austria, Malta and Portugal) focusing on economic and political matters. Before joining the diplomatic service, Mr. Wagner was a business consultant in London to British firms with interests in Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Mr. Wagner received his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Southern Illinois University School of Law where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Southern Illinois University Law Journal. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing.
